A Tribute to Ned Rorem

A Tribute to Ned Rorem

The Rossini Club pays tribute to honorary Nantucket composer, Ned Rorem, who passed away in late 2022. The composer, known for both his art songs and lurid diaries, lived on the island for many decades and wrote music about or dedicated to the island. Two of his works, the lush Nantucket Songs and the diary-like Winter Pages, will be performed on this concert. To complement these works, two pieces by Hungarian composers György Ligeti and Béla Bartók fill out the program.
